As promised, a baking post! 🙂
This evening my friend, Garrett, and I took on the kitchen. I really wanted to make Soft Pretzels but he wasn’t fond of the idea, so we landed on your basic chocolate chip cookies. (I plan on making pretzels sometime, so there will be a post about those in the future 🙂 )
So when looking for a recipe, he wanted a thin and crispy and I wanted the complete opposite. For some reason, I’m just not a big fan of thin chocolate chip cookies but he convinced me that we could make the best cookies ever (boy was he wrong). We came upon a recipe from the Girl Who Bakes blog. But we decided to change it up and make it our own, and I’m proud to present the “Crepe Cookie” or as Garrett prefers to call it, “The Garrett” (he did do most of the guess-timating, so he deserves the extra credit):
Feel free to use the Girl Who Bakes recipe or if you’re feeling a little risky try out our adaptation, here’s what we did:
They turned out super thin, and very flat. They have an interesting texture but they definitely aren’t bad at all and they surprised me that they actually tasted alright. This was a really interesting experience; it was really fun to kind of just do your own thing, plus baking is always enjoyable 🙂 Stay tuned for more!
